Frequently Asked Questions — Gimme Fit San Dimas

Getting Started

Is Gimme Fit good for beginners with no fitness experience?

Absolutely — beginners are who we’re built for. Every new member starts with a personal intro session where one of our coaches learns about your goals, fitness history, and any physical limitations before you attend your first class. Every workout is scaled to your current fitness level, so you’re always challenged without being overwhelmed. You don’t need any prior experience to get great results here.

Do I need to be in shape before joining Gimme Fit?

No — and this is one of the most common misconceptions about functional fitness gyms. You don’t need to be fit to start. That’s exactly what we’re here for. Our coaches work with people at every level: complete beginners, adults returning after years away from the gym, people managing injuries, and experienced athletes looking for their next challenge. The only requirement is showing up willing to work.

What happens during my first visit to Gimme Fit?

Your first visit starts with a free intro session — a one-on-one conversation with a coach where we learn about your goals, your background, and what you want out of training. From there we’ll show you around the gym, walk you through what a typical class looks like, and help you figure out the best way to get started. There’s no pressure and no commitment required. It’s simply the best way to see if Gimme Fit is the right fit for you.

Do you offer a free trial class?

Yes. We offer a free intro session for all prospective members. It includes a personal conversation with a coach and a look at how our programming works. You can book your free intro by contacting us through this website, calling us directly, or stopping by the gym in San Dimas during open hours.

Classes and Programming

What does a typical class look like at Gimme Fit?

A standard class runs about 60 minutes and is broken into: a warm-up, a strength or skill segment, a conditioning workout, and finishes with cardio and mobility work. Every session is coached from start to finish — movements are explained and demonstrated before you perform them, and your coach will modify anything based on your fitness level. No two workouts are exactly the same, which keeps training fresh and your body continuously adapting.

What types of classes does Gimme Fit offer?

We offer coached group fitness classes, yoga, personal training, and HYROX-specific training. Our group classes combine functional movements, strength work, and conditioning in a format that’s accessible to all fitness levels. Personal training is available for members who want individualized programming and one-on-one coaching attention. Our HYROX programming prepares athletes for competitive functional fitness racing at any experience level.

What is HYROX training and do you offer it in San Dimas?

HYROX is one of the fastest-growing competitive fitness formats in the world. Each race combines 8 kilometers of running with 8 functional workout stations — movements like rowing, sled pushes, burpee broad jumps, and wall balls. It’s designed for everyday athletes, not just elite competitors. Gimme Fit offers HYROX-specific training in San Dimas for athletes preparing for their first race or looking to improve their performance. Whether you’re a beginner or a returning racer, our coaches will build a program around your current fitness level and race timeline.

How often should I train at Gimme Fit to see results?

For most members, 3 to 4 sessions per week is the sweet spot for building consistent progress without overtraining. That said, even 2 sessions per week will produce meaningful results if you’re consistent over time. Our coaches factor your schedule and recovery capacity into their recommendations during your intro session so you start with a sustainable training frequency from day one.

How quickly will I see results?

Most new members notice improvements in energy, sleep quality, and confidence in movement within the first two to three weeks. Visible physical changes — body composition, strength, and endurance — typically follow within four to eight weeks of consistent training. Our coaches track your progress and adjust programming over time to make sure you keep moving forward, not just maintaining.

Membership and Pricing

How much does a Gimme Fit membership cost?

We offer flexible membership options based on how often you want to train — from a few days per week up to unlimited access. Our group programs run around $185-205 and our personal training around $80 per session. Pricing is best discussed during your free intro session, where we can match you with the option that fits your schedule and goals. To get current pricing, contact us directly or stop by the gym in San Dimas.

What membership options does Gimme Fit offer?

We offer group training memberships that run 12 workouts a month to unlimited. We also offer personal training packages as a standalone or as an add-on to any membership. Come in for your free intro to review all current options.

Is there a long-term contract required to join?

We don’t like annoying contracts any more than you do. All our programs are month-to-month. Our members stay for years because they choose to.

The Gym and Community

How is Gimme Fit different from a regular commercial gym?

The core difference is coaching and community. At a commercial gym, you’re on your own — figuring out what to do, navigating equipment, and trying to stay consistent without any accountability structure. At Gimme Fit, every class is led by a certified coach, every workout is programmed with a specific purpose, and you train alongside a community of people who show up regularly and support each other. Most of our members tried commercial gyms before and couldn’t stick with it. The coaching and accountability make the difference.

What kinds of people train at Gimme Fit?

Our community includes adults in their 20s through their 60s, complete beginners alongside competitive athletes, parents managing busy schedules, and professionals who want to manage stress and stay healthy long-term. What everyone has in common is that they wanted more than a gym membership — they wanted coaching, structure, and a community that holds them accountable. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll fit right in.

Is Gimme Fit still a CrossFit gym?

We recently rebranded from Gimme CrossFit to Gimme Fit to better reflect the full range of training and programming we provide. Our coaching quality, community culture, and commitment to functional fitness remain exactly the same. If you trained with us under the CrossFit name or are familiar with functional fitness training, you’ll feel right at home. We serve members from San Dimas and the broader Inland Empire area including La Verne, Glendora, Covina, and Pomona.

Do you host events or community activities outside of regular classes?

Yes — community is a core part of what we do at Gimme Fit. We regularly host fitness events, local competitions, and social activities that bring our members together beyond the gym floor. Follow us on Instagram or check back here for upcoming events in San Dimas and the surrounding Inland Empire area.

Nutrition and Results

Does Gimme Fit offer nutrition coaching or guidance?

We meet up 1-on-1 during our Goal Coaching sessions to guide you with your nutrition. Our coaches understand that training and nutrition work together, and we’re always happy to point members in the right direction when it comes to fueling performance and reaching body composition goals.

Can Gimme Fit help me lose weight?

Yes — weight loss and body composition improvement are among the most common goals our members come in with, and we have a strong track record of helping people achieve them. The combination of structured programming, consistent coaching, and community accountability creates an environment where people actually stick with their training long enough to see real, lasting changes. We’ll work with you to set realistic goals and build a plan that supports them from day one.

I have a previous injury. Can I still train at Gimme Fit?

In most cases, yes — but we encourage you to be upfront about it during your free intro session. Our coaches are experienced at modifying movements and programming around common injuries and physical limitations. We’ll work with what you have, not against it. For serious medical conditions, we recommend getting clearance from your physician before starting any new exercise program.
